Goodbye Cucumbertown+ Pistachio Chocolate Cookies

Cucumbertown ditched me.

It may sound very absurd to many and a lot of my dear readers must be wondering what the hell am I talking about. But let me tell you one thing, the growth and popularity of this blog all happened because of the wonderful team at Cucumbertown. They handled all the technical stuff (which is my biggest fear now) and only allowed me to blog and share my stories here.

I’m still recovering from this shocking news after they announced that they are shutting down due to valid reasons but I can’t go on moping about it forever, can I?

I feel so attached to it even though it’s only been 8 months since I’ve been using this platform. It was not just a platform that helped me get my views and likes but got me recognition and appreciation from all kinds of people. People who had no idea I existed before. It made my blog look so neat and appealing to the eye. The recipe editors were just fabulous. And I was able to convince so many people to join after me.

I had a lot of confidence and expectations from them as every month you would see one great highlight. They made blogging super easy and I loved it even more after joining. They helped me find my niche- baking. Ever since that, I’ve stopped doing restaurant reviews. Go back and see when I did my last review.

So I have every right to shout and scream right?

I’m heartbroken. Pissed off. Because even in my wildest dream, I never saw this day coming. But however hurtful I may feel inside, I can only imagine what the founders must be going through. This was their baby. Their life.

So I’m not going to let that anger get the better of me but instead be grateful for all that they’ve done these last couple of months. Thank you for making me love what I do and always supporting me. I have harassed the team with the most random questions but they have always been there to answer them.

It’s going to be hard to move on. This is like the worst break up ever. But I think it’s time to grow up and start learning to do things on my own. I take this as an opportunity to spread my wings and fly in the blogging world.

Thank you for everything Cucumbertown. You will be greatly missed!

To all my readers wondering what’s next, I am going to find another solution which is most probably going to be WordPress. Just bear with me for a while till I figure out things as I’m going to be busy all of next month with my internship at Taj Lands End. The team have promised and given us time till March 2017 so I don’t think there should be any issues accessing the blog until then. One thing I can assure you, whatever happens, I will not let the blog die! šŸ™‚

I’m also sharing another Diwali-inspired recipe- Pistachio & Chocolate Cookies. Last one for the season before I start my internship and don’t get much time to blog again.

This one has got all the flavours you need to keep you festive and happy. The cookies are a real delight. Crisp, nutty and delicious!
