I’ve always grown up on waffles as a kid. It used to be our regular Sunday family breakfast along with pancakes.
So I was really happy to discover this small, little place in the food heaven of Carters.
There are numerous food stops on this one street but the Wafflist stands out as it’s one of the best options you get to end on a sweet note.
Waffles may be new to a few of you so here’s a little peek to what it is all about:
A waffle is a leavened batter or dough cooked between two plates to give the desired design.
They are eaten all over the world and a favorite of many.
There is nothing much to talk about the decor of this place. It has no uniqueness or artwork which was a bit of a disappointment.
Anyways I had a friend along with me so we went ahead and placed our order.
We asked for the Chocoloaded and Cookie Rookie
(Later found out that these were their hot sellers)
They also have some amazing milkshakes but we were already stuffed from lunch so just stuck to the waffles.
Another minus point was that they don’t have tables and chairs to sit on and I actually can’t complain because if you look to see all the places on that street are like that but then it’s quite uncomfortable to stand and eat them or sit outside on the ledges.
We just decided to forget about all this for the moment and hoped that our waffles will make us feel better.
And it sure did the trick!
Can’t compare it to the ones you’d have at Grand Hyatt or J W Marriot but for the price of it, I think it wasn’t that bad at all!
The Chocoloaded Waffle was absolute brilliance on a plate.
The mix of white and dark chocolate and the crunchiness of the bits of praline on top was just mind blowing!
The Cookie Rookie on the other hand was on another level altogether. I am not a big fan of Oreo but this one is really changing my attitude towards it.
It had freshly whipped Oreo cream topped with hot melting chocolate and a scoop of vanilla ice-cream at the side.
It’s not fine dining. So what? It’s a great place to hang around with your friends!
