This has been a long overdue review. Sorry for the wait. Been very tied up with a few other assignments but here it is.
I sadly write this away from home but hope you’ll enjoy this one! 🙂
Buffalo Wings!! Loaded Nachos!! Arabic Sheekh Rolls!! Mozzarella Cheese Sticks!! Twice Marinated Steak!! Better Than Sex!!
Doesn’t this already sound familiar to you?!
Well, that’s because you know what I’m talking about. But it’s not what you think I’m talking about.
Okay…. Enough of this….let me just say it out loud:
Brigade Road opened its arms to another outlet of the same ole Grill House earlier this year.
Now just because I’m the co-owner’s niece does not mean I’m going to get all nice and sweet here.
Read on more to find out what I mean!
The location of this place is brilliant. It’s in the heart of the city and in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the shopping street. It also serves as a great eatery for the college kids that go to one of the most prestigious institutions that has been around for donkey’s years.
When you enter into the doors of this elegant steakhouse, you get vibes of comfort and homeliness.
The decor is very unique indeed!
They’ve got some sort of picnic tables with colorful chairs.
The interiors are also very well done with different kind of paintings on the walls..
The next thing that made me a very happy diner was the staff.
I also loved the little paper menus that were placed before us. Found it very innovative and catchy!
Now comes to the best part of this whole Tex Mex experience- Yes… the FOOD.
They are known to keeping to their high standards in both their other restaurants.
The biggest question was: Were they able to live up to them here too?
We’re about to find out…
They have become famous for their burgers and have something called the Burger Factory.
They keep asking their customers that one question: Who doesn’t love a good burger?
They also have an offer every Wednesday…
But we were in no mood for them so began with the starters:
If you want it hot, sweet and fiery then yeah you’ve got it right!
These wings were absolutely insane. I could get the kicks of all the flavours in my mouth.
They were succulent and juicy. One of their best sellers I hear!
If you are the barbecue kind of person, then you will absolutely love this!
They are sticks of chicken which are divine. Loved the texture and great balance of flavours!
They bring Jamaica’s favorite dish right to your table presenting the Jamaica Pepper Beef.
As the name suggests, it is very peppery in nature but is an excellent dish as a whole. Keep a glass of water beside you, and you’ll totally enjoy it!
These are mini cottage cheese skewers grilled with bell pepper and onion.
I’m not a fan of the vegetarian cuisine at all (try to avoid it everywhere I go) but I must say, that these were worth the try. Great flavors from the tandoor and not too much masala which was good for me.
There was nothing really different about this. It tasted like the regular kind I’d pick up from anywhere so that was a bit of a disappointment.
This has always been my favorite dish from here. I have to have it almost every time.
Don’t really know where to begin. Everything about this dish is so perfect.
Succulent grilled prawns served on a bed of spaghetti in a chilli bechamel sauce.
Now that’s awesomeness on a plate!
This is the Chef’s Special: Twice Marinated Beef Steak with a rich pepper sauce.
My mouth starts watering again just as I write this.
You can get the steak the way you want it and it is very heavy let me warn you.
The meat was cooked to perfection and medium rare… Just the way I like it!!!
It is a big hand cut chunk of meat served with pepper sauce again. This is another great one for all steak lovers but I don’t get how people manage to finish it.
It’s a hugeee portion indeed!
If you are not a hard core meat eater like a few friends of mine, then there is something for you which is plumped chicken breast, grilled and topped with cheese.
I didn’t much care for this. I love cheese but this didn’t quite live up to my expectations.
Anyways, after a marathon of great dishes, I think it was time we ended on a sweet high note.
And the Marshmallow Chocolate Brownie just did that!
It’s always been BTS( Better Than Sex) for me till now… But this has changed it all.
The gooeyness of the marshmallows and the richness of the chocolate. How can it get better than that?
And all thanks to my dear cousin who puts his heart and soul into making these yummylicious treats.
So I’ve come to the end of this great food experience and I hope you enjoyed it too.
I can’t think of a better place to satisfy that meat craving which never seems to go away.
This is yet another home of mine. I keep going back there all the time and I’m sure it will be the same for all of you too!
