Orange Cake with a Whisky Chocolate Ganache

Winter is coming!!! And along with it comes the juicy, sweet oranges’ that are a favourite to many.

There are so many things one can do with oranges but I have always loved warm cakes and crumbles. Oranges are one of those power fruits that have an excellent source of Vitamin C. It’s the best way to treat all your colds and coughs.

So the best excuse to bake yourself this cake! 😉

Pairing orange with chocolate was by far one of the best decisions I’ve made till now. The combination of flavours are bang on! I get the best of both worlds so couldn’t be more happy.

Baked this cake for my colleagues at my previous work place and my cake was the hero of all their Snapchat stories.

It’s such a simple recipe that involves only a few ingredients to work with but the final result is spectacular.

I also love the addition of curd/yogurt to my cakes these days. The texture of the cakes come out so beautiful and they stay moist for hours.

You can eliminate the whisky from the ganache if you’re not yet legal but I tried two batches with and without and the Chivas definitely stood out like a boss.

Perfect winter recipe to keep you warm and snuggled in bed all day. Let me know your thoughts once you try it out!
