Season Of Love!

“Love is in the air” is what people say, to which I reply “Stop fooling yourself!”

Yes, as you can see I’m a hopeless romantic. For me if you love someone, you express your love to them every single day and not go overboard on just one day only!

So Valentine’s Day is no special day for me. Ask my boyfriend and he’ll tell you more! 😉

Now it so happened that the guys from Jain Irrigations Private Ltd. had dropped off two tubs of their first branded retail product “Aamrus” which is frozen mango pulp with no added colours, flavours or preservatives. So I had to whack my brains and figure out what to do with it.

Usually, the first fruit that comes to mind during this month is strawberry.

So I decided to be a little more adventurous and make Mango the fruit this Valentine’s Day!

Here’s a simple yet fun recipe that will definitely “woo” that special one.

  1. In a small cup, add the rum to the milk and mix well. Keep aside.
  2. In another cup, whisk the cream and condensed milk until nicely beaten.
  3. Now it's time to put all the ingredients together so first take a cocktail glass and add the broken pieces of cake to it. Pour the milk mixture over it and let it soak for a few minutes.
  4. Next take one spoon of the mango pulp and pour it over the cake mixture. Then take a spoon of the condensed milk and cream and do another layer of the cake, mango pulp and condensed milk. Continue the same for the other cocktail glass.
  5. Now put these in the freezer for about 90 mins to set.
  6. Top it with cashew nuts and serve chilled!
